Click here to download 7-Zip on your PC. Click on the .exe download link located next to the words ".exe 64-bit x64" or ".exe 32-bit x86", depending on the version of your operating system. When the download is complete, start the .exe file and complete the setup by clicking on the Yes, Install and Close buttons. Locate the folder you want to protect and right-click on its icon. Select the item 7-Zip Add to archive... from the menu that opens. In the Add to archive window, proceed to create the archive: Select 7z or zip from the Archive format menu. Type the secure password you want to use to protect the folder in the text fields Enter password and Re-enter password. Select the AES-256 entry from the Cryptographic method drop-down menu. Check the Encrypt file names option and then click on the OK button. Once the procedure is complete, double-click on the newly created archive to open it. Enter the password to extract it and check that all files are there. You can proceed with deleting the original folder now that it's securely encrypted.
