Yes, many Indians do buy Apple MacBook laptops. The popularity of these devices in India has been steadily growing, driven by their reputation for quality design and superior performance. This is particularly true among professionals, students, and creative individuals.

The increasing usage of technology in both education and the workplace, coupled with the growing technologically savvy population, contributes to the rising demand for MacBooks. Additionally, Apple's efforts to expand its presence in India, including the opening of retail stores and enhancing its service network, have further encouraged sales. However, the high price point of MacBooks compared to other laptop brands can limit their market share among budget-conscious consumers.

The 2012 MacBook Pro also remains a favored choice among those who demand a balance of affordability and performance. However, more expensive models like the retina MacBook Pro are less common, mostly because of their higher price point.

With rumors that Apple might introduce a new entry-level retina 13-inch MacBook Air, there is potential for changes in pricing and consumer behavior. However, these higher-end models remain a luxury for many consumers.
