A Comprehensive Review of Mpow Flame Earbuds: Durability, Sound Quality, and Comfort

Mpow Flame Earbuds: A Comprehensive Review

Mpow Flame earphones have proven to be a reliable and high-quality choice in the earbud market. This review will delve into the comfort and fit, waterproof durability, sound quality, and battery life of the Mpow Flame earbuds.

Solace and Fit

When trying out the Mpow Flame earphones, the first thing to consider is their comfort level and fit. Regardless of the sound quality, we might not tolerate the discomfort of ill-fitting earphones for long. The ear circles are made of a silicone material, which, though a bit firmer, does not hurt the ears or feel like they are constantly jabbing into the skull. For individuals with delicate ears, hard ear circles can be a dealbreaker, but the ergonomically curved design of the ear circles works well with our ears.

The Mpow Flame comes with three sizes of standard rubber ear tips—small, medium, and large. Given our history of avoiding hard ear tips, we chose the large size. Additionally, a pair of adjustable foam ear tips is included. Foam tips provide a snug fit, which is crucial; a snug fit not only keeps the earbuds from falling off but also enhances the sound quality. When the earbuds form a tight seal, the bass becomes more contained, creating a more immersive audio experience. We found both styles of ear tips to be comfortable, but we generally prefer the adjustable foam tips due to the tight seal they create.

Waterproof

The Mpow Flame earbuds are confirmed to be IPX7 waterproof, meaning they should function even after being submerged in up to three feet of water. Some may have doubted whether we were foolish enough to dunk them in a bath, but we were correct in our skepticism. The earphones worked perfectly even after a quick dunk in the shower. This feature gives them the potential to withstand the flame hose during intense cardio workouts, as we tested them at the gym for almost a week straight. Despite the rigorous conditions, they continue to deliver the best results, making us eager to continue using them at the gym.

Battery Life

Mpow claims a battery life of 7 to 9 hours of uninterrupted use. However, as with any wireless earbuds, listening volume can significantly impact battery life. At a volume of 75, our Mpow Flames lasted for about 8 hours of workout time, which aligns with Mpow's claims. Given our gym usage, a single charge would likely last us about a year. Additionally, the earphones only take about 90 minutes to fully charge, meaning a medium charge can last multiple uses.

Sound Quality

Sound quality is a subjective topic, but we strive for the best possible audio experience. The Mpow Flame earbuds use a tuned driver CSR chip and Bluetooth 4.1 technology, delivering deep bass, smart highs, and rich mids. What we dislike about most cheap earphones is their tinny sound, which is almost as grating as the sound of chalk on a blackboard. We prefer to listen to music that is clear and balanced, even if it is not groundbreaking. Mpow has managed to fit this level of clarity and balance into such a compact design, bringing the sound quality to a level that is quite impressive without being top-tier.

I have been using these earbuds for a while now and can attest to their effectiveness and quality. If you're interested in trying or buying these earbuds, you can visit for more information.
